Hawaiian Cultural Workshops
Aloha from Grace Vacation Rentals! Welcome to our blog. In this post, we’re going give you all the information you need to reserve and attend Free Hawaiian Cultural workshops in Lahaina. This is a great way to learn and experience more of the islands culture.
Experience Hawaiian Culture
Beginning in April, The Lahaina Restoration Foundation will be hosting free Hawaiian Cultural workshops at Apuakehau Cultural Park, next to the Lahaina Public Library, on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The workshops are for anyone 10 years or older. These are small classes of 5 participants so pre-registration is required. All supplies are provided in the workshops and the month of April will focus on canoe plants.
Enjoy a hands-on experience led by Kalapana Kollars who is The Lahaina Restoration Foundations’ Hawaiian Cultural Director. Learn how to make cordage from hibiscus and how to clean and prepare a gourd for use.
