Welcome to Sunrise Cabin at beautiful Lake Nahwatzel in Mason County, Washington. Lake Nahwatzel is a unique gem that is nestled at the base of the foothills of the Olympic Mountains. The Lake is located in the middle of vast timber-lands on the edge of the Olympic National Forest and was an integral part of the early days of logging. This property is extra fortunate, because it is the last house at the end of the road; and nothing and no one are beyond it for many miles.

Those who are lucky enough to live here feel blessed that this piece of paradise is far enough away from the bustle of the state capital Olympia, but close enough to take advantage of the many amenities available in the more urban areas.

Lake Nahwatzel is home to eagles and osprey, deer and elk, beavers and otters and everything in between. Though summer is the time most people think of summer activities like swimming, kayaking and fishing, winter has it’s own charm when the swans, shorebirds and other migrating birds arrive. Winter is quiet, serene and peaceful, a place you can imagine the rest of the world no longer exists. In the spring, if you are lucky, you will hear the haunting call of the loon.
