John Cruz performs live at ProArts Playhouse at 7 pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. John Cruz built his career telling stories through songs about everyday people and experiences, celebrating the ties that bind us all and in the process, becoming one of the most beloved and valued artists in Hawaii. Join Power Up Comedy for a night of hilarity as they welcome back one of the best out there, Sammy Obeid! Special guests include Chino LaForge from Maui. Sammy is currently on his “Ceasefire Tour” around the world, making a stop for ONE NIGHT ONLY! Sammy Obeid, a Lebanese-Palestinian-Syrian-Italian-American born in Oakland, California, gained prominence for his remarkable 1,001-day streak of consecutive comedy performances, commencing on December 26th, 2010, and concluding on September 21st, 2013. Notably breaking the old world record on Day 731, he set a new milestone titled “1,001 Arabian Nights of Comedy.” Throughout this impressive run, Sammy showcased his comedic talent on various platforms, including NBC’s America’s Got Talent and The Food Network’s Throwdown with Bobby Flay. His achievements were highlighted in TIME Magazine and the New York Times, praising his wordplay and clever misdirection. Sammy Obeid, also recognized for his role in CoExist Comedy and Axis of Evil: New Generation national tours, capped off his streak with the release of his debut album, “Get Funny or Die Trying,” named a Best Comedy Album of 2013 by iTunes. LA Weekly applauded his “sheer force of will” in both performance and lifestyle, while LA Mag highly recommended his show.

Three to 5 Live at Mulligans On The Blue Friday, March 8, 2024 at 7:30PM
Mulligans On The Blue welcomes back instrumental funkologists, Three to 5, on Friday, March 8th from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm. The band is an elite instrumental funk and soul group whose members have each backed up many famous acts. Together as a group, Three to 5 has opened for national tours as well as here in Hawaii. The Mulligans Music Box invites you to this fun evening with great music by some of Maui’s most talented artists!

The 26th Annual Maui Calls Gala at Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 6PM – 10PM
The 26th Annual Maui Calls Gala Fundraiser, In Celebration of the Navigator is Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s signature gala event. It begins with a fresh flower lei greeting and Hawaiian music serenade. Mix, mingle, and taste delectable pūpū created by chefs from stellar Maui restaurants and specialty food purveyors. Enjoy premium wines selected by vintners from boutique wineries around the world. The evening will include live performances by Joel Katz, Arlie Asiu, The Hula Honeys, and The Mākaha Sons. Guests will be able to end their evening by dancing the night away to live music by Asian Blend. Silent and live auctions offer the chance to bid on a multitude of items and experiences such as fabulous Hawaii staycations, restaurant gift certificates, beautiful pieces of art, autographed music instruments & more! Wrap up the evening with special performances under the glowing roof of the MACC’s Yokouchi Pavilion.

The Kula Lodge & Restuarant features ono food and stunning views of West Maui and the Pacific Ocean. On Sunday, March 10th from 5-7 pm you can enjoy a delicious dinner, a stunning sunset, and the soothing sounds of violinist, Willy Wainwright. Willy is a local legend having performed for over thirty-five years from Chicago to Nashville to Europe and now here on Maui. He performs Hawaiian, Irish Celtic, Classical, Latin, Bluegrass, Country, and gypsy jazz.
