Maui’s musical treasure, Uncle Benny Uyetake, re-imagines Kanikapila evenings in Wailea with storytelling, a special guest artist, and world-class music on Wednesday, June 26th at Mulligans On The Blue. Through the Aloha Music Series, Uncle Benny will introduce you to the new sounds from the islands and transport you to old Hawaiʻi as he hosts upcoming artists and Hawaiʻi’s legends. For this special evening, on June 26th, Kala’e Camarillo will join Benny for an intimate jam session in South Maui! There will be an opportunity to support Lahaina with the purchase of Mo`o and Koholā: A Childrenʻs Book full of Aloha and Purpose!

Whalers Village, Ukulele Basics Class – Friday, June 28, 2024
At our weekly ʻUkulele Basics events, Uncle Ron will lead you in exploring the sound of the ʻukulele. You’ll be introduced to finger placements for basic chords and talk story about the history of the instrument and Hawaiian music. By the end of the hour, you’ll be ready to hoʻokani pila, or play music, with a few simple tunes in your repertoire! Instruments will be provided.
