Enjoy a fun-filled experience with your keiki (children) as we explore a new learning theme each week. The Family Hui Hawaii will read stories, sing songs, and play, all while fostering your child’s development and curiosity at the Maui Nui Botanical Gardens at 10am.

Maui Family YMCA , HeartFest Maui – Saturday, February 1, 2025
Brought to you by Scouting Unit 49 & Maui Family YMCA, HeartFest Maui is a free event packed with fun, fitness, and heart health vibes! A benefit event for Scouting Unit 49 & Maui Family YMCA, HeartFest Maui celebrates American Heart Month by promoting heart health awareness through fitness and the values of Scouting.
But it’s more than just a celebration — it’s a day of fun for the whole family! From delicious food and exciting games to face painting, prizes, giveaways, a local vendor market, and live entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Scouts will go head-to-head in an epic triathlon! Cheer them on and get inspired to move, play, and take charge of your own heart health.

Maui Arts & Cultural Center, Kahenewai’olu – Kumu Hula Kamaka Kukona with Hālau o ka Hanu Lehua
Grammy Nominee and multi Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award Winner, Kumu Hula Kamaka Kukona celebrates the release of his long-awaited senior musical project, KAHENEWAI’OLU. Enjoy a beautiful evening of enchanting Hawaiian music and mesmerizing hula, along with the students of Hālau o ka Hanu Lehua and special guest artists including Raiatea Helm & Kamalei Kawa’a. Pre-show festivities start at 5pm.

Join the Holoholo Bookmobile Librarian, Hui Noea’u and the Family Hui Hawii for a fun-filled session of stories, songs, parent-child crafts, and heartwarming parent conversations at the Old Lahaina Court House from 10:30am-12pm.

PC: Maui Nui Botanical Gardens
Maui Nui Botanical Gardens, Piko 1: Beginning Ulana ‘le’ie Workshop Series with Daniel Kaha’iali’i – Wednesday, February 5, 2025
In this workshop series, participants will focus on learning the double weave interlocking wheft technique using ʻieʻie to create art of their own with Daniel Kahaʻialiʻi. While each class will have a different focus: piko, peʻahi, hīnaʻi, ʻeke, and miniature mahiole, this class will focus on piko. Participants are not required to attend all classes and must register individually for each class. All workshop materials will be provided. There are only 13 spots available in each class. Due to the number of classes, a waitlist will be kept by class subject (piko, peʻahi, etc.)
