Plate Lunch Market Place, Three to 5 – Thursday, February 13, 2025
The Three to 5 trio is back at the Plate Lunch Market Place on February 13th! From 6 to 8 p.m., you can enjoy local grinds. This unique lineup from Maui includes Matt Del Olmo on guitar, Kevin Garland on Drums, and Matt Novotney on the Hammond B3.

Maui Nui Botanical Gardens, Niho ‘Oki Workshop – Saturday, February 15, 2025
In this workshop, Kumu Kukini Suwa will provide participants with the knowledge and practice to make a niho ‘oki (Hawaiian utility knife). Niho ‘oki was traditionally utilized for woodworking, stripping wauke bark for kapa making, cutting cordage, and many other uses. Participants will use native koa or milo wood to craft the handle of this traditional tool, gaining hands-on experience with filing and rasping techniques before securing the shark tooth blade with cord. All workshop materials will be provided.
