Maui Arts & Cultural Center, Maui Film Festival – Friday, Aug 30th – Sept 3rd, 2024
This year, the Maui Film Festival is celebrating 25 years of presenting breathtaking cinema bringing you five nights of carefully curated special films all shown in the comfort of Castle Theater. MFF strongly believes in the power of original cinema and its ability to move culture, shift paradigms, and meaningfully help to create a future worthy of today and generations to come. A ‘jewel box’ film festival that digs deep to discover cinematic diamonds and share them with the world. Nightly festivities may also include additional short films, Q&A’s with filmmakers and the good vibe mingling outside at Candlelight Café in the Yokouchi Pavilion Courtyard. The films start at 4 pm, 6 pm, and 8 pm each night (Times and Films are subject to change).

The 1st Annual Labor Day Pickleball Tournament at the beautiful Kapalua Tennis Garden. This is a Pickleball Is Great Managed Tournament and will be an All-Round Robin WITH Playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze Medals. Monday 9/2 is makeup day for the weather.

Experience a unique and immersive yoga class, Aquari-OM yoga, at Maui Ocean Center, where you can connect with Hawai’i’s marine life while practicing yoga in the captivating setting of the Open Ocean exhibit. Held after daily hours, this tranquil environment offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to practice among sharks, rays, and schooling fish in the 750,000-gallon exhibit. Whether you are a seasoned yogi or a beginner, all skill levels are welcome, and reservations are required due to limited space. Participants must be at least 12 years old and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Aquari-OM yoga is typically a blend of hatha, yin, and vinyasa yoga although each class varies.
